ChannelAire Chorus Fund
The Channelaire Chorus Fund at the Ventura County Community Foundation is a charitable, non-profit fund established to support and assist ChannelAire Chorus with two purposes in mind: (1) a long term goal of purchasing a permanent rehearsal hall property and (2) providing scholarship funds to Ventura County women who are unable to completely pay chorus dues. Because the chorus' own helping hand fund is not available to cover dues (it can assist with other expenses but not dues), this special fund was earmarked for this unique purpose.
Although the CCF was first established in 2005, it has taken a long time to grow through small donations and the hard work of smart investing by the helpful folks at the Ventura County Community Foundation. This year (2014), the Channelaire Chorus Fund was able to make its first grant of annual dues scholarships, paid to ChannelAire Chorus on behalf of six of its members. The chorus' management team identified and submitted the names of members who needed dues assistance and the CCF was financially stable enough to cover one year's worth of dues for each of them.
